Research and Evaluation Specialist
Miriam Counterman is a Research and Evaluation Specialist in The Cloudburst Group’s Global Development practice area. She supports all phases of evaluations and research from inception and design to project management.
Dr. Counterman has over ten years of experience in international development and humanitarian relief, with expertise in evaluations of livelihoods, food security, and natural resource management interventions. She focuses on quantitative methodology and rigorous experimental and quasi-experimental design. Her previous work experience has been in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, South Sudan, and Somaliland.
Dr. Counterman holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder, in addition to master’s degrees in Public Administration and International Studies from the University of Washington.
