Practice Area Lead / Senior Evaluation Specialist
Ms. Kate Marple-Cantrell is a Senior Researcher and Global Development Practice Lead at Cloudburst with substantial experience conducting and managing rigorous mixed-methods evaluations (impact and performance evaluations) under multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity vehicles, including for USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Over the last 10 years, Ms. Marple-Cantrell’s global mixed-methods research and policy analysis has focused on land tenure and natural resource management (property rights, land administration, land governance), democracy and governance (conflict, civil society, media, local self-government, rule of law and human rights, elections system strengthening, anti-corruption, integrity systems, administration and governance reform, civic education, and capacity-building), and vulnerable populations.
Ms. Marple-Cantrell holds dual master’s degrees at the University of California, Berkeley, in City and Regional Planning and International Area Studies. Her urban planning expertise is in housing, community, and economic development, and her international expertise includes training in development economics and regional expertise in the former Yugoslavia.
