The Cloudburst Group is supporting the Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Bureau at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the DRG Bureau’s Policy, Learning, and Integration Office new Evidence Help Desk to help USAID staff use research evidence in their program designs. Users will be able to ask the Evidence Help Desk for support ranging from identifying a few key resources to conducting a full review of the evidence.
The Cloudburst Group is looking for research experts across all DRG programming topics and geographical areas to assist with various tasks and activities for the Evidence Help Desk. DRG programming areas include democracy and governance, human rights, rule of law, civil society, media, elections, labor, countering trafficking in persons, anti corruption, and countering authoritarian influence. Researchers with academic institutions are particularly encouraged to apply.
The tasking deliverables will be demand-driven based on Mission, Bureau, and Independent Offices (M/B/IO) needs around the globe. Activities consultants may support include the following:
- Aid in selecting a programmatic approach or identifying new and innovative approaches
- Strengthen the theory of change behind a selected approach
- Participate in conversations with USAID program designers
- Identify and summarize key resources
- Identify and analyze existing third-party data
