Sr. Technical Assistance Provider
Heather is a licensed social worker and systems change advocate with over 15 years of professional experience in non-profit anti-violence work and housing and homelessness programs. Their experiences include work as a case manager in a shelter for women and children as well as in a permanent supportive housing program; running a community-based domestic violence program and a neighborhood food shelf; registering young voters; and doing policy research around domestic violence and sexual assault. Prior to working for Cloudburst, they worked in a funding intermediary and systems change organization serving the state of Minnesota, where they were the lead on all Permanent Supportive Housing and Coordinated Entry Supportive Services programs serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul seven-county metro area, including program development, training and technical assistance, contracting and compliance, and active involvement in state and local homeless planning initiatives. They have a deep understanding of HUD Continuums of Care (CoC) – in theory, policy, and practice – and extensive experience navigating the challenges and opportunities of cross-sector collaboration.
Heather completed Master of Public Policy and Master of Social Work degrees at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
