The Society for International Development, United States (SID-US) for International Development-US 2024 Conference, World in Crisis Sparks of Hope, begins today in Washington, DC, and virtually. The Cloudburst Group’s President, Michelle Hayes, and the Global Development team are attending.
One of the important conversations being facilitated at the conference is “Defending the Defenders in the Year of the Election,” which is focused on the importance of and best practices in mitigating risks to civil society activists as they promote global democratic renewal especially during elections.
Cloudburst’s Global Development team works to ensure democracy, human rights, and governance globally by using rigorous, scientific methodologies to leverage and expand the evidence base regarding complex political, economic, or governance issues and translate these findings into digestible materials to aid in evidence-based decision making.
