The Cloudburst Group is seeking consultants with lived experience of homelessness to participate in the creation of a training webinar and monthly action series for Continuums of Care around authentic engagement.
The goal of the project is to work with Region 3 Continuums of Care (CoCs) to meet the basic U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) CoC Program Interim Rule requirement of having at least one person that is actively engaged in CoC planning and decision making, while being compensated for their time.
Consultant Tasks
- Participate in weekly planning meetings with the team
- Actively participate in content development for the monthly series
- Create materials, slide shows, handouts, poll questions, surveys, and additional materials agreed upon by the planning team
- Prepare and present on topics on webinar and monthly workshop series
Desired Consultant criteria include individuals with:
- Strong communication skills
- Currently receive (or have previously received) federal housing assistance
- Lived experience of homelessness
- Access to a computer, stable internet that can run Zoom calls or other meeting platforms, and must have regular access to a telephone
- Available to work as a consultant approximately 5 hours per week, including weekly team meetings on Wednesdays at 1pm ET/10am PT
This is a consultant and not a staff position and will be paid an hourly rate which should include all costs necessary to participate in the work.
