Director

Thomas Mon is a user interface design and development specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in the IT field. He serves as project manager for multiple web application projects and provides functional design and usability expertise. Mr. Mon designed and developed the environmental compliance database system for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Economic Growth, Education, and Environment (E3) Bureau (https://ecd.usaid.gov). He also designed and developed the interactive Land Governance Program Map for the USAID Land Tenure and Property Rights (LTPR) Division (https://land-links.org) and provided usability testing and user Interface design on the cross-platform mobile Point-in-Time count mobile app for HUD. He guided the design elements throughout the iterative design process of producing infographics and interactive data dashboards for both Army OneSource, SAMHSA and USAID projects.

Mr. Mon is currently engaged with the USAID E3 Bureau providing knowledge management services for environmental compliance documentation as well as the Global Health bureau by improving electronic document workflow tracking; and actively building an interactive map of available medical waste incinerators. In addition, Mr. Mon is also working with GSA.gov to provide automated website search query analysis and reporting. He is proficient in PHP, Apache, Objective-C (for iOS), SQL, and Perl.
