Jeff Ploetz is the Global Development Business Lead & Environmental Compliance Subject Matter Expert at The Cloudburst Group. He provides strategic direction for a portfolio of programs that provides technical assistance, communications, knowledge management, research, evaluation, and training in land tenure & resource rights, biodiversity, climate change, and environmental resilience.
Mr. Ploetz brings more than 21 years of experience as an international development and environmental professional which began with his Peace Corps service in 1997. His extensive experience is rooted in environmental compliance, natural resource management, biodiversity, and training. Mr. Ploetz has dedicated his career to environmental aspects of international development ensuring environmental considerations are appropriately integrated into program design, implementation, and monitoring.
Mr. Ploetz has served as Chief of Party/Project Manager for multiple USAID contracts. Since 2001 Mr. Ploetz has managed successive USAID Environmental Compliance projects providing technical review, mitigation and monitoring site visits, and training in environmental regulations (22CFR216). He also has served as team leader for several USAID Biodiversity Assessments.
Mr. Ploetz has worked in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kenya, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Ukraine with extended travel to India and Tanzania.
